American Life continues to set the standard in EB-5 industry leadership. At the 2025 IIUSA EB-5 Industry Forum in Houston, we were honored to receive recognition for our outstanding I-829 approval record and thought leadership in investor compliance and USCIS audits.
American Life Honored for I-829 Approval Excellence
American Life was proud to participate in IIUSA’s 15th Annual EB-5 Industry Forum, held in May 2025 in Houston, Texas. The event brought together over 325 attendees and more than 70 sponsors for three days of networking, business development, and industry-leading education. The energy, optimism, and collaboration on display reaffirmed our excitement for the year ahead and the continued growth of the EB-5 program.
We are especially honored to share that American Life was recognized for excellence in I-829 approvals at the conference. This award reflects more than just a milestone—it is a testament to our deep commitment to investor success. To date, American Life has helped over 3,000 investors and their families secure permanent green cards through the I-829 petition process. This achievement places us among the most accomplished Regional Centers in the industry and underscores our long-standing focus on compliance, transparency, and results.
Darrell Sanders, a senior executive at American Life and a member of IIUSA’s Board of Directors, accepted the award on behalf of our company. Darrell’s leadership—both within American Life and as a guiding voice in the EB-5 industry—has been instrumental in shaping policy, strengthening investor protections, and upholding the integrity of the Regional Center program.
Thought Leadership at IIUSA: Panel on USCIS Audits

In addition to being recognized for our I-829 success, American Life was honored to contribute to the conference’s educational programming. Jennifer Smith, a key member of our team, participated in the panel discussion “Regional Center Site Visits and Audits” alongside respected colleagues Clem Turner, Jill Jones, Rogelio Carrasquillo, and D. Simone Williams-Arrington. The conversation offered practical insight into USCIS audit protocols and best practices for maintaining compliance.
American Life was one of the first Regional Centers ever audited by USCIS, and we were proud to share our successful experience with attendees. Jennifer’s thoughtful contributions highlighted the importance of preparation, transparency, and operational excellence. We’re deeply appreciative of the positive feedback received and remain committed to supporting industry peers in navigating these complex processes.
Looking Ahead: American Life’s Continued Commitment to EB-5 Industry Leadership
Also representing American Life was Annie Zhou, who joined fellow industry leaders throughout the conference in support of the EB-5 community. Annie was photographed with IIUSA Executive Director Aaron Grau, both of whom share a deep commitment to advancing the future of the EB-5 program. Her presence exemplified the professionalism, dedication, and strategic vision that define American Life’s approach to EB-5 investment.
At American Life, we don’t just build successful EB-5 projects—we build lasting trust with our investors through a culture of accountability, strong governance, and unwavering focus on results. Recognition from IIUSA affirms our belief that when we prioritize our investors’ long-term
